CALLING ALL MUSICIANS Are you or someone you know a country music musician?
AUDITIONS Jr's Hitchin Post Opry hold auditions every Saturday at 3:15pm
at the start of band practice. Our show is primarily CLASSIC COUNTRY. You will need to bring two songs, one fast, one slow to perform for the band. Once you perform, the band will take a silent vote of either yes or no. If you make it past the band, you will perform THAT night as a cameo during the show, and you will perform the songs that you auditioned with. This is the final step of the audition process, the owner and manager will talk with members of the crowd after the show to get feedback on how you did on stage. If the crowd likes you, we will re-book you as a regular paid guest for the next open date. You will get in the show free that night, however, we do NOT offer comp tikets for friends or families of cameo performers. GUEST PERFORMERS Please read the "Opry House Rules" that are posted back stage. Band practice for guests starts at 4:30pm every saturday. Guests are expected to be on time for practice. If your going to be late please call Butch or Jr and let them know. Guests will be sked to submit 10 songs to Butch via e-mail or telephone by No Later Than 5pm on the Monday before your scheduled show. Submitting 10 songs does NOT necessarily mean you will perform that many, we simply need a number of songs to pick from to put he show together for that week. We ask that you submit more fast or medium tempo songs than slow. A good rule of thumb is one slow song for every 2 fast songs. If we have NOT heard from a scheduled guest or are unable to contact you by Wednesday evening of the week prior to your performance, you will more than likely be scratched from that weeks show and will need to contact Butch for re-booking. Please keep in mind that our show is primarily CLASSIC COUNTRY. Management reserves the right to scratch or replace any songs that are deemed inappropriate. We also will frequently ask our guests to provide alternate songs in the event we have a song the band is unable to learn in short order. Not to worry, our band has an incredible talent at learning songs after hearing them only once or twice. Please bring copies of ALL music you will be performing on a CD(s). In the event the band does not know the song they will need to hear it. Our rules and policy's are not meant to be restrictive, but rather facilitate a worry free and hassle free show that our crowd will enjoy and keep them coming back to hear YOU sing. Any questions, please contact Butch or Jr. |
